Terms of use
NapLink is not a medical device, and not a safety device. It depends on two devices, their batteries, their browsers, their operating systems and a network — any of which can fail, silently and without warning. Never use it as your only means of supervising a child, and never use it in a situation where a missed alert would be dangerous.
What the service is
A free web service that lets two devices you control connect to each other so one can hear what the other hears. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability, delivery of notifications, latency, or audio and video quality.
What we do not promise
- That a notification will arrive. Web push is delivered by your browser vendor's service; it has no delivery receipt, and a locked or low-power phone may delay or drop it. The app includes a test for exactly this reason — use it.
- That the service will be available, or that sessions will not be interrupted.
- That a session survives a restart of our server. Sessions live in memory; a restart ends them.
Your responsibilities
- Only monitor spaces you are entitled to monitor, and make sure anyone who could be recorded by the microphone or camera knows about it.
- Treat a session link as a secret: whoever holds it can listen. Generate a new link if one has been shared too widely.
- Do not use the service to relay traffic unrelated to monitoring, or to attempt to disrupt it for others.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranty and its operator cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from its use, its unavailability or a missed alert.

These terms may change as the service does. Substantive changes will be noted on this page.
